Welcome to the Knights of Columbus -
Welcome to the Holy Family Council of the Knights of Columbus website. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal benefit society whose guiding principles are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Our order was founded in 1882 by a Catholic priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, for the purpose of bringing the peace, love, and mercy of Christ to his parishioners in need. Today, Father McGivney's legacy lives on through the more than 1.8 million Knights around the world who create, organize, and carry out charitable activities in their local community. At Holy Family in Leesburg, we are one of the most active councils in the commonwealth of Virginia. Our activities include such things as providing meals to the homeless, raising money for wounded veterans, supporting parish Right to Life activities, collecting Sweats for Vets, adopting military families at Christmas, supporting Special Olympics, providing scholarships to our youth, responding to charitable requests from the community, and much more. |
Please visit the Grand Knight's Message page to see what we have planned for the 2013 – 2014 Columbian Year.
If you are interested in deepening your Catholic faith, supporting our priests and clergy, and sharing the peace, love, and mercy of Christ with others, I hope you will consider joining us as a Knight of Columbus.
Ad Gloriam Dei -
