Grand Knight's Corner #1

Dear Brothers,

The Council is doing great this term!  We are off to a great start, and participation is way up thanks to everyone's support.  One area that we need help in is membership.  I received our quota from Supreme and the Council needs 11 new members for this Columbian year, 5 of which need to become insurance members. This is certainly attainable with your help.  If you know of an eligible Catholic male, now is the time to close the loop.  We are quickly coming up on the membership blitz.  If you bring your completed form 100s to Wednesday's business meeting we could arrange for your candidates degree within a week.

This year we are going to kick off our membership blitz at the St. John's ministry fair on Sunday September 30.  Our council will have an information booth at the event, as well as our newly formed Women's auxiliary.  Bring as many of your friends as you can by the booth to sign a form 100.  If you have any questions about membership or you need someone to talk to your candidate please contact our Worthy Membership Director, Br Phil Rusciolelli or myself.  We will be more than happy to share our experiences with your candidate.

Together we are making a difference as a council.  I have some information about our council to share with you on Wednesday 9/12/07 that will reaffirm that!

I would also like to report that the Womens Auxiliary is coming together nicely.  The ladies are preparing a charter and will soon look forward to being installed as the first official Women’s Auxiliary of Holy Family Council and District 18.  The Brothers of Holy Family Council welcome the ladies and look forward to working with you.

Brothers we are on the eve of a tragic event that changed the life of each and every citizen in this country for ever. Pray that needless violence comes to an end in our country.  Pray that our Service men and women and first responders are removed from harms way.  Pray that 911 never happens in this country ever again.  Tomorrow display the US flag with pride and reflect with a moment of silence for the souls and families that this tragic event touched.

God Bless America!

Respectfully,

Don Phillips, Grand Knight
